Live Performances

Fuji

A recording of a live show which I performed at the Ancienne Belgique - with high definition projection and in collaboration with accordeonist Gwen Cresens, creating a live ambient soundtrack accompanying the flow and moods of the images. Lighting by Jan Van Lindt.
Due to Covid restrictions the concert was online only - no audience was present - which in turn made the empty AB Main Hall look like a giant Japanese temple

Seven Angels

Thanks again James MacMillan, @vlaamsradiokoor and @brusselsphilharmonic for the wonderful opportunity to surround three wonderful shows in November 2019 featuring Allegri’s Miserere and James MacMillan’s Miserere and Seven Angels - conducted by James MacMillan himself - in Leuven, Lier and the Basilica Koekelberg with cloudscape visuals and surround soundscapes.

O Magnum Mysterium

‘Mountains Rays’ - a time lapse I photographed close to the Minami Alps in Japan
The soundtrack is a short excerpt of a surround soundscape I created for the Vlaams Radiokoor ‘Seven Angels’ concerts. It’s a minimalist interpretation of Morten Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium with felt piano and a layered and transformed recording of the Vlaams Radiokoor - recording each section of the choir separately and recombining them for a full surround experience.

Thank you @brusselsphilharmonic #hervéniquet and #johanleysen for a wonderful collaboration on September 25th at the Koekelberg Basilica. It was pure joy listening to Haydn’s Seven Last Words and Johan’s sober rendition of the Gospel in this mighty decor, and it was an honour to add my photography and time lapses as an extra layer to the performance
